I approached Norm with my situation after I had been charged, for the first time in my life, with Assault with a Weapon – which understandably, is a very serious offence. \u00a0I acted out of self defence after being attacked and my attacker suffered severe injuries which lead to my unfortunate arrest. \u00a0The first 2 lawyers I retained for this prior could not help me resolve it better than a fine with short term jail time or simply probation– either which came with a hefty criminal record attached, which I was trying to avoid since I hadn’t been arrested or charged ever before. \u00a0The Crown didn’t want to accept any type of plea or discharge so ultimately my only choice was to go to trial. \u00a0After the nightmare I had with my first two lawyers, I found Norm extremely professional and understanding. \u00a0He took my case seriously and worked closely with me to achieve MY desired results. He listened to what I wanted, and respected my decisions throughout the entire ordeal. He was very meticulous with details surrounding the night of the arrest and made his own thorough investigation with his questions before, and during my trial.<\/p>\n

I was very comfortable and confident with what he had prepared and how he executed our defence the day of, knowing that he went over and above his necessary responsibilities, which lead to the Crown Attorney’s recommendation to the Judge for my absolute acquittal (not guilty<\/span>). \u00a0The Judge concurred with the Crown and all charges were dropped and my record continues to be clean. \u2014 D.T.<\/em><\/p>\n
